Nate the Great and the Pillowcase

by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat
illustrated by Marc Simont

Rosamond was missing a pillowcase for her cat. Annie came over because she knew it was Rosamond's cleaning day. Rosamond got scared of Annie's dog because the dog barked at Annie. Rosamond told Annie to rush out. I don't like when dogs bark at me either.
Nate says there is one more clue that he didn't solve. It was what the cleaning bag looked like. Annie said it was white, with holes in the bottom and tied with string. Nate the Great solved the mystery. Annie took the pillowcase instead of the cleaning bag.
This was a very good story.
